In the spirit of summer and the closing of classes, we abolished our own homework this week. Of course, this had nothing to do with procrastination.
It turns out, that without a theme, choosing just one photo is very difficult, so here is a rain-inspired collection of relatively recent, water-related shots.

My little sister Kaitlyn took these photos in Nagano, Japan, and even though I’m really jealous I couldn’t be there, I’m very happy my family has been making the most of their time living in such an amazing place. I’m also proud of my sister, who I think has a real eye for photography, and I completely encourage her to keep it up.
Sorry for the late submission, I am sure it left many sleepless while they desperately waited, but I was traveling for the last twelve days or so in places with no access to the internet and sometimes no electricity at all. The above picture was taken near Van Don in a bay that rivals Halong’s beauty, but without ANY tourists. It took a four hour ferry across this watery wonderland to reach our destination, Quan Lan Island, which turned out to be an amazing place despite unwelcoming weather. Later I will put up some more photos from the last few days, although I was pretty lazy with the shooting on this particular trip.
