Peru was everything I needed to get hooked on traveling, amazing people, incredible scenery, and lots of adventure. Luckily on our way to Machu Picchu we opted for the Salkantay Trek instead of the congested Inca Trail. This took us over a pass of  15,000+ ft between glaciers and peaks of over 20,000ft. then abruptly plunged us back down into the jungle on the other side. The four or five days it took us to get to the ruins were some of the most memorable moments I’ve ever had. I wasn’t thinking much about photography at the time, so I guess I will have to go back.
