Photo Duel: Entropy

Entropy; The tendency for all matter and energy in the universe to evolve toward a state of inert uniformity.

The universe slowly reclaims a shipwreck on the Oregon Coast.

Doi Can Labyrinth

I had a nice walk the other day in the neighborhood opposite mine, this is some of what I saw.

My little sister Kaitlyn took these photos in Nagano, Japan, and even though I’m really jealous I couldn’t be there, I’m very happy my family has been making the most of their time living in such an amazing place. I’m also proud of my sister, who I think has a real eye for photography, and I completely encourage her to keep it up.

April Ramblings

A good friend of mine visited last week, so we first got some bikes and rode from HaNoi to Mai Chau, Moc Chau, Son La, then a shortcut (we thought) past Dien Bien Phu, ultimately ending up in Sapa. After one night back in HaNoi we headed off towards the beaches of Quan Lan Island. Two very different journeys, but both were far off the path and made for many great experiences. Here is a glimpse into what we saw.

Photo Duel: Water

Sorry for the late submission, I am sure it left many sleepless while they desperately waited, but I was traveling for the last twelve days or so in places with no access to the internet and sometimes no electricity at all. The above picture was taken near Van Don in a bay that rivals Halong’s beauty, but without ANY tourists. It took a four hour ferry across this watery wonderland to reach our destination, Quan Lan Island, which turned out to be an amazing place despite unwelcoming weather. Later I will put up some more photos from the last few days, although I was pretty lazy with the shooting on this particular trip.
